About the Festival
The Cass County Arts Alliance (CCAA) is busy planning Logansport’s fifteenth annual “Art on the Avenue.” This event offers fine arts and crafts vendors, food, music, a children’s’ corner, and performers that the whole family will enjoy.
Held at the Little Turtle Waterway along the Wabash River at 4th Street and Melbourne Avenue, the festival takes place on Saturday, September 18th, from 11 am - 6 pm.
The arts and crafts area offers a wide variety of artists, including Cass County favorites, as well as newcomers from all over the Midwest. Art featured at the festival will include woodworking, stained glass, fine jewelry, pottery, photography, sculpture, and painting and more.
“2 Rivers on 2 Wheels” bike ride, sponsored by the Cass County Family Y, takes to the road again this year throughout Cass County and the destination is the festival site. The Farmers Market is another welcome repeat offering local food items to purchase, along with local non profit organizations selling a variety of delicious treats.
The festival is presented by the four partners who comprise CCAA; the original Cass County Arts Alliance itself, the Performing Arts Council of Logansport, the Civic Players of Logansport, and the Logansport Jr. Civic Theater.
Kid's Korner
While adults browse the art booths, kids can create art in their own Kidz Art Korner, recycling old items into art or helping to create a real Art Car. Budding writers can “Put on the Poetry” arranging magnetic words into verse on old car parts. And Reading Railroad will be around with celebrity story sessions.
There will also be “make and take kids’ crafts” which are all free, thanks to our community donors!
Free Caricatures!
Artist Josh Stubblefield will be offering free caricatures all afternoon for attendees who complete the festival survey.
Music on Melbourne
As a bonus, this year’s festival will feature “Music on Melbourne,” two nights of live rock with an adult beverage tent to open and close the festivities.

7:00 pm - Dash Rip Rock
9:30 pm - Damrel
Saturday, September 18, 2010:
